What is Power Search in BrightMove?

Power Search is BrightMove’s unified search tool for Candidates, Jobs, Clients, and Managers. It combines a filter panel with a live results grid so recruiters, hiring managers, and Super Users can locate records instantly instead of paging through lists.

How do I see every record in a search?

Type an asterisk (*) in the search field. This wildcard shows every unfiltered record for that entity, which is useful when the results grid first appears empty.

What is Expert Mode?

Expert Mode lets you enter direct field:value queries instead of using the filter panel, for example resume_text:Java AND rank:5 or current_title:”Java Developer”. It supports wildcards and boolean operators for precise searches.

Can I search for candidates within a specific distance of a location?

Yes. The Location Filter lets you enter a ZIP or postal code and choose a radius in miles or kilometers to limit results to candidates, jobs, or clients within commuting distance.

Can I save a search and run it again later?

Yes. Save Search preserves your current filters and columns under your user account, and you can reload or manage saved searches at any time from the Search Options Menu.

Does Power Search work for RPO firms managing multiple clients?
