Settings & Configuration FAQs
What is Settings in BrightMove?
Settings is the area of BrightMove where administrators manage company-wide configuration, access, and system behavior. It includes both a Personal Settings section for individual users and a Company Settings section for organization-wide configuration.
What’s the difference between Personal and Company Settings?
Personal Settings covers things every user manages for themselves—profile, email signature, security questions, two-factor authentication, and alerts. Company Settings covers organization-wide configuration like employee accounts, security roles, and company preferences, and is generally managed by administrators.
Who can access Company Settings?
Access to Company Settings is determined by your role and your company’s configuration. Administrators typically have the broadest access since they’re responsible for managing company-level configuration; other users may see all, some, or none of the available options.
How do I add or remove Hiring Manager access?
Hiring Manager access is managed under Company Settings, where administrators can add, edit, or remove a Hiring Manager’s access to BrightMove.
What are Security Roles and why do they matter?
Security Roles control what different groups of users can see and do within BrightMove. Administrators create and manage these roles under Company Settings to make sure recruiters, hiring managers, and admins each have the right level of access.
Where do I manage company-wide preferences and restrictions?
Company-wide defaults and restrictions are managed in Company Preferences, under Company Settings. Changes here affect the entire organization, so BrightMove recommends proceeding carefully and contacting support if you’re unsure how a setting will impact your system.
